Story Telling Unit-Pitching and Idea Planning

Three Variables:

  • Forest ----- Borneo
  • Soldier ----- Name (Sgt Rajesh)
  • Photographer ----- Name (Oakley Quake)

Story:

1. Oakley enters forrest with his dog, when suddenly his dog starts barking. Knowing his dog well, he realises he must not be alone... Whilst taking pictures he notices a figure in one of the trees, but looks up to find nobody there..

2. Sgt Rajesh is over watching the process of deforestation. Oakley is an avid campaigner for the conservation of wildlife in the forrest... But does the soldier agree with the way the forrest is treated?

3. Photographer goes on a walk for inspiration, and comes across a former decorated militant/Veteran suffering from PTSD, and is sharing his story...

[The soldier is a stern short asian man, he is unclean and has cataracts in one eye]
A soldier is on duty on the outskirts of the Borneo Forrest maintaining the flow of work within the area.
[This man is large man of all proportions wearing a white suit and safari hat, with a little bit of his ear missing]
He is approached by a man, The soldier stood straight in the presence of this man as he is aware this man must be a figure of authority. "Sgt" "Sir! "

"See much today?" The sergeant sniggers in offence of his eye. "Something wrong?" Replies the official. "The name is Rajesh isn't it?" "Yes s...!"

In the distance a tall, thin, bearded young man with square glasses, casually wonders along camera in hand notices a conversation between a soldier and his official. curious of the possible conversation, he quickly snaps a photo of the pair.

Noticing a flash the pair turn to face the scrawny wimp of a man.. "And who might you be!?" exclaims the man in the safari hat. Startled by the brash voice of this bear like man, the young man quickly turns and darts for the forrest. "Fucking open your eye you dosey prick, stop him!"

And with that Rajesh makes a B line for the man in question cutting him off in a forrest clearing, "Hentikan!". The young man realising he doesn't speak Malay (Native language of borneo) turns to face the short man.. "Please! I don't understand my name is Oakley.. Oakley Quake" "What is Okay Quack?" "I'ts my name.. please I'm here to photograph and observe the beautiful nature surrounding us!" "You leave now!" "BU-" "-Pergi!"

Oakley turns to run but in the process drops his camera, a chase begins, Rajesh picks up the camera but looks up to realise he's lost track of Oakley. in this distance however he can hear shouting... BANG!! gunfire.. In a state of shock Rajesh runs towards the sound. Rajesh is closer to the noise BANG!! a second shot thats close enough to leave his ears ringing, a tree splinters nearby as a bullet ricochets through the forrest, disturbing birds and breaking the forrest flow.

Rajesh arrives at the origin of the sound.. "Kristus.. What.. Have you done??" Laying on the forrest floor is a blush ape heaving wide eyed struggling to take in the air around him. but next to him face down in the foliage lay Oakley. Rajesh picks up his glasses and through the shattered lens sees the man in safari hat. without hesitation Rajesh pulls out his gun and tolls the third BANG!! for the forrest to swallow. Rajesh turns to the struggling ape in attempt to stop the bleeding he tears a piece of clothing but unfortunately his wheezing is now as silent as the forrest around. slowly the noise comes in as the forrest moves on from the previous as if nothing had happened. Rajesh now sitting on the floor surrounded by what the forrest has claimed begins to look through Oakley's camera and takes a great interest in the photographs captured.
