Pre-Production: Green Light Pitch

The pitch today I believe was a great success, and thanks to the constructive feedback received by Simon and the rest of our peers, myself and Jack felt confident in pursuing pre-production for the rest of this unit. This is an idea we both love and would hope to carry through for our major project.

What Went Well
Clearly well thought out
Strong research

Even Better If
Needs to stay relieve as its very current now.
Need to really concentrate on the people carrying the piece and how they connect with each other. Need to have some strong characters to be able to carry the piece forward properly.

Simons Feedback

-Major project pre-production "Offended" a documentary about the snowflake generation.

-Overall there is an idea somewhere in here, but at the moment I'm not sure what it is exactly.

-I know you want to explore the snowflake generation - and it will involve two contributors on some kind of a journey. To Manchester?

-That's it though and at the moment you really need to develop a much stronger, more defined idea. I'm unsure as what you want to tell a story about. Generation changes? the war? people clapping? I really got a bit lost I'm afraid. There was some interesting notes on how the promotional work might be.

-So lots of work to do in terms of defining this project. Also your roles as you both seemed to be producing and then I wasn't sure what your individual aspects would be - as you didn't really touch on that - or if you did, it was lost on me.

-think clearly what you want to make a film about and what kind of form you want it to take. What do you want to explore in terms of your role. This could be a really experimental documentary in terms of how you put it together.

-You will need to research your role and the genre you are working in.

-Think about your platform too. Where is the best place for a short documentary.

-You need to draw up a detailed list of what you each will be responsible for in terms of the pre-production package.
