Documentary Unit- Project Update

On Monday we had our first feedback session with Helen on the script. She liked where we were going, but had a couple of suggestions for the beginning which we were advised to work on a bit more. We also need to decide on how to end the script as it needs to be more conclusive. I also managed to get hold of a group of holocaust survivors, justness to officially confirm it.
Gavin has been in contact with the Imperial War Museum and landed a deal where we’ll be interviewing the Director and a Tour guide. We’ve also gotten permission to film in the exhibition.
Trina has been in contact with a lady named Jodie Cook, the UK’s leading expert in social media, who got us in contact with David who’s an expert on war studies and social media. He's very interested in talking to us about war and selfie culture.
We still have Shahak Shapira, the creator of ‘Yolocaust’ on board on the project and the Jewish museum in Berlin where the Programme Director will be talking with us.
These will be the only two sit-down interviews we’re doing in Berlin. Other than those we’ll also do VOX at the Memorial where we hope to see and speak to people taking selfies there.

Locations:
London:
- Holocaust survivors, office
- Stansferd airport
- Imperial War Museum, office and in the exebition
- At the office of the social media guy
- London streets - filming everything handheld, and not on a tripod, we won’t need permission

Berlin:
- Inside car - No need for filming permission
- Holocaust Memorial - Confirmation on email.
- Hotel Big Mama - Confirmation sent on email.
- The Jewish Museum - Confirmation sent on email.
- Berlin city - No permission needed since we’re going to film handheld.
- The airport in Berlin currently waiting for confirmation

Since we’re filming in Berlin we have to fill out more extensive risk assessments to what we’d do if filming in the UK. I found this quite difficult given we haven't been able to recce the locations yet, but after researching the locations thoroughly, we could get a good idea. At the moment we are filming in 6 different locations in Berlin, and 7 in the UK making it 13 different risk assessments to fill out in total. We are all producing our documentary given the amount of work/organisation needed, would be too much for one person alone. This is the same with risk assessments, which we decided to  share between us all.
