Pre-Production: The Package
For this unit I have decided to pain up with Jack in creating a practice pre-production with an idea I had floating about for a long time, but not something achievable on a student project. I was really glad of this as it will enable me to practice pre-production on a high end, professional level where I can look into all the planning efficiently and effectively.
I want to be able to make this project come to life without actually doing the impossible (that is making it). It actually started off as a proper initial idea for my major project and after trying to plan ahead in the summer by emailing around to put feelers out I had little to no response and realised it wasn't an idea I could actually pursue. However, the pre-production process is just as enjoyable as production and post as it builds up this excitement. How it starts with an idea and I can now see how far I could take it whilst enjoying all the planning of this original idea.
I will be working on pre-production on an original idea I will work on as though I am going to get it commissioned. This will include looking into the target audience, genre, research and the platform.
