Major Project: Filming in Court
In order to film in a court room to get some cutaway GV's we needed to contact HRMP Media team. This process was lengthy but thankfully our University had public liability forms which was required for this particular shoot. Having never actually been asked for these before I was suprised, but it had taught me that it is important to always make sure you have the liability and insirrence, something we often take for granted when filming. I contacted a few placesd to get information form the government website and it lead me to phone the Medway Courts. They told me to email South East RSU with the subject 'Diary' and give them the details of the request and they would be able to help me out. I sent the email off and recieved a responce the same day. Below is the email exchanges between myself and the RSU.
After a lot of the back and forth emailing, me and jack decided to walk into Maidstone COurt to see if we could speak to anyone there. We were lucky en ough to speak to a gentleman called Richard who helped us out with our request. He said that he can't see a problem with it but we will need to send an email to them directly with everythign in writing. He siad it may have to go higher up and may be that we can only film in the Royal Courts of Justice.
After chasing up, me and Jack resorted to approaching the Maidstone Court by going in and visiting. We spoke to a gentleman there who reassured us that if we contacted some other people we would get better confiirmaiton.
