As Live Production: How to pitch

The subject and premise of your programme! Have your idea in one sentence
Clear overview programme content, contributors, VT's, Style, target audience, channel. (channel 4 guidelines). A visual moodpboard. Can reference well known faces. Everything hinges on something access wise that is possible.

Content: Tell us how the actual formatting adds to the USP. Talent shows are based on looks and not talent. Whatever you're doing with your format find out whats behind it and what the intention behind it is.
Why the programme should be commissioned. A running order is very useful your pitch. Remember how much you loose in links, VT's, Make sure VTS are shown how they use. Floor Plan. In detail explain the running order.

Use Visual Aids- Powerpoint, Prezzi etc.
Clips give us the mood again to bring it to life.
Bring it to life, engage us to help us understand. Can bring props in costume. Let the Presentation be your brand in font and colours. Walk us through it step by step.

Anything that is complex, test it out.
Body Language and Style, know our style. Watch dragons den (a good pitch). The pace and the appearance.

NEED TO APPEAR ENTHUSIASTIC

USP- What makes it distinctive form everything else, why chose our, why is it relevant now (so much going on in the world and society is constantly changing both for the better and worse. People are easily offended.)

Assessing the quality of our ability to present: Prepared well, detail, communicating well.
Never say 'Im unsure'.

Take your time

Facts and Figures- (age range, political likelihood). See it as a way of improving your idea. (compare to shows like the last leg and Have I got News for you appealing to a left wing audience. Show the statistics and show how our show will hopefully have a nice strong balance in the middle).

Do's and Don'ts
