Major Project: Professional Practice Inspirations

Whilst workign for a company Bareska, I was able to camera assist for a shoot for a corporate video in the Gherkin Building. Fortunately, this shoot was using the Black Magic URSA and also the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema with a DJI Ronin S Gimbal. The setup for this was key to the aesthetic and final project outcome. I felt it was improtant to observe the setup and how the crew composed the video. Something that really stood out to me was the lighting. Having worked on previous projects and established the lighting seups, I realsie how important lighting is. However, how they worked lighting was facinating to me given they brought it outside the room. In the backgound of setups were glass doors. But in order to bring more life and depth to the images they had an LED light glowing throught the door, creating a nice backlight. I wanted to try and recreate this cinematic look with our own offcie recreations for the documentary and so I used the same lighting setup with the light above his head and one shining through the door.
