Commission: Finding and Meeting Animator

In my project I knew I needed to animate some pretty complex graphics, and knew it was something I was no expert in. However, this video I am creating for the studio is to be as professional as possible since they will be using it to show their clients their facilities. The difference between a perfect video and a good video could be the difference between content creators filming their or not. Videos are incredibly important to modern businesses as they show quickly and easily what a company is or does and their facilities. If Iw as to filming edit really well but my graphics/animation weren't of the same standard it would really show and stand out.

This is why I decided to get in touch with a student studying animation at UCA (University for the Creative Arts) who would have more of an idea on what he's doing than what I would. I asked Joe Warrilow who said he could help and would be interested in helping. He studies this in depth at university so would also be of benefit and interest to him.

I had my first meeting with Joe to discuss the project; I went through with him my commission treatment for the studios and the type of video it was. I wanted to go through this in detail so we were on the same page. I also showed him the brief and when going over my treatment showed him the design style for the exploded views of Studios 1 and 2.

Joe suggested that it would be a lot easier if we had a net view of the studios so we could take that into the animation software and work on it from there.
This animation would not jut be used in the promotional video but also the 20second video dedicated to the studios.

Me and Joe plan to make this graphic look aesthetically appealing without being too simple or too complicated. It would be a good idea to perhaps include the lighting, shape and size of the studio and the curtains so we have some detail. It will be a basic rotation of the studio space for both studios 1 and two. The graphic will be there to accompany the nice cinematic shots of the studio space.
