Commission: Quality Assurance Plan

Quality of Filming

I hope to make my raw footage the highest possible quality, despite the limited resources I have due to my low budget, I will attempt to enhance my video footage. I will do this by making full use of the equipment I have to me being a Panasonic 4K Camera, LED lighting and a fig rig; for really smooth shot I plan to use a rail slider.
Another seasonal consideration is the weather, as I’ve previously mentioned. This may include rain which can obstruct the filming if any goes onto the lens. This is a common problem amongst amateur productions, and an easy solution to this would be to hold an umbrella over the camera. Alternatively if not possible, i.e. when filming with a drone, I can attempt to remove in Adobe After Effects. Just by one quick search in google, I have already found a video tutorial on how to remove a spot on the lens in post production.

I could use a tripod for the still shots, which will enable a better quality rather than ‘shaking’. Sometimes, shaking can create a good atmosphere for filming, but I want my shots to be very smooth and well choreographed.

Quality of Audio
Audio quality is very important to a piece of video; "The audio is usually neglected because of the misconception that the success of a video production highly depends upon the quality of video." (http://vtrep.com/audio-is-more-important-than-video-picture-quality/). Now, in terms of audio I don't plan to record any interviews or anything so most audio will be music with the exception of archive clips. These clips will need to have good quality audio and the music I use will need to equally be a high quality download.
Another audio consideration is to make sure have permission to use copyrighted music in my video, or if I use it I reference it. This will ensure I do not accept any credit. "Copyright law is one of the grayest areas on the internet, and violations happen more often than a troll comment gets posted to YouTube. Well maybe not, but potential copyright violations can be confusing to navigate if you don’t know how the laws apply to your particular situation, especially around the issue of copyrighted music and audio." (http://tubularinsights.com/copyrighted-music-in-video/). Because this is a video for the studios, if there was a copyright infringement it would be them who had the blame, and so its very important I don't breach these laws. This means I can't use music that people know and recognise which isn't necessarily a bad thing, There are loads of underground artist out there with good copyright free music.
