Commission: Meeting 2

Today I had a meeting with Carly to discuss my ideas further and discuss what we do and don't like. I was pleasantly spurred to find the we were both on exactly the same wavelength with ideas. She said that what I had written up in the treatment proposals I sent her were exactly how she imagined them to look in her own head, and she said the way I had done it was very professional. This was brilliant feedback for me as I couldn't have received  bigger compliment for my work. Her only criticism was a few grammatical errors, which in future I will also get someone else to proof read before sending to a client.

We started off discussing the promotional video and Carly like my ideas for the opening. This was to have a slow zoom in on an old television with the logo as an animated graphic. Carly had visioned even this before and referred me to the studios timeline on the website. With this I could see an old television, of a similar age and style to the one on my brief. Again, this went to show that we were both on the same page in terms of style and what we both wanted. I showed her the video on the website, with old footage of shows that were originally filmed there which I said I wanted to include. She was happy for me to include them in the promotional video; I would want to re-edit slightly to accommodate the timeframe (90seconds) for my entire video. I wouldn't like it to take up too much time as I have a lot to cover in the actual video.

Not to include satellite stuff as too complicated and they don't need to know about it; Carly suggested I simply just include “HIGH SPEED FIBRE AND IP NETWORK"

Rooms like green room old and not worth showing; if I was to show these rooms it would be false advertisement; especially if it looks good in the video. The actual rooms aren't up to the standard of the rest so might be worth mentioning them quickly but not actually showing them.
