News Production: Script Development; Working on Helens feedback

A big development in our script came from our "Top Five Tops". Many of our top tips changed from our first draft to final draft of the script. As a group, we felt that we had more better ideas for our tips, ones which were a bit different from the ordinary, expected ones.

I feel like this change was definitely for the better, as most students will know about what different banks have to offer. Many may not think to or even be bothered to join any societies as it may be ones they're not so interested in, but forget that this is a great way to meet new people.

Another tip that changed for being too obvious was eating tip number three, eating out.

PRESENTER:  We all love going out for food. Whetherspoons is the best, McDonalds is always there for us and you can't beat a Cheeky Nando's. But this can build up in price. 38% of Students spend about £10 week eating out and 33% spend between £10-£20 a week. This makes up nearly £60 a month just eating out! We aren't saying you shouldn't, just eating out less can help you save a little bit more money.

GEORGE WING:  It might seem like a strange one, but a door stop can make a huge difference to accommodation. Open your doors in your flats! It'll help you talk to your new flat mates and get everyone closer.
George gets up and wedges a door open.

As you can see we changed the story on not eating out as much to keeping your bedroom door open more in your flat. This is because people already know to eat out less, it's common knowledge. We wanted to tell our audience something they don't already know, just as Helen suggested in our meeting. I'm pleased to say with he changes we've made to our script, we have a much better
